In between projects I painted the Warhammer Miniature of the Month: Soulblight Gravelords Barrow Guard. I more or less followed the Ulfenwatch painting tutorial.

Wygląda jakby przed chwilą z ziemi się wykopał, czyli dobra robota!

UsuńŚwietny! Od czasów "Władcy Pierścieni" i "Zabójcy Trolli" motyw truposzy spod kurhanów szczególnie mnie urzeka. Bardzo lubię również taką stylistykę w malowaniu.
OdpowiedzUsuńWidać za dawno czytałem Gotreka, bo akurat tego wątku nie pamiętam! Tak czy siak - cieszę się, że ludzik się podoba. Tym bardziej, że malarsko to dość bezwysiłkowy schemat kolorystyczny :) (choć z rdzą jeszcze eksperymentuję i tam jeszcze dzieją się rzeczy).

OdpowiedzUsuńShout-out to both your guides on witch hunters and pale skaven,I've used them extensively. My only problem is now I can't go back painting vivid colours, everything I do becomes grim and dark ! Also I did a gang of beastmen following the skaven guide, just added a enamel wash from villainy ink called ichor of the damned that really tied it together. Thanks for keeping this blog up, it's great inspiration!

UsuńI was in the grim'n'dark painting phase for quite a long time and I loved it - even though according to people my minis looked rather grey ;) In my opinion the phase is a good moment to learn more about light and contrast and using colors in a more controlled way. Have fun! :D
I tested crimson and teal Villainy Ink and liked them a lot. With the shipping to Europe and customs they get rather pricey, so for darker colors (which I tend to use quite often) I use cheaper alternatives (mainly A. MIG Dark Brown Wash for Green Vehicles).
