Zondara's Gravebreakers

Zondara was once a wizard gifted in the Magic of Ghur, but then she lost the love of her life - Feralin - to a terrible curse that left him a snarling beast. She will stop at nothing in her efforts to save him. A stolen tome unlocked the secrets of necromancy to her, and led her to believe that amongst the frozen graves and lost dead of Deathgorge she would find a way to restore her beloved.

Z okazji kwietniowego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego realizowanego za sprawą Kapitana Haka pod hasłem „Otchłań” prezentuję underworldsową ekipę Zondara's Gravebreakers wraz z ich historyjką - o klątwie, utraconej miłości, pogrążeniu się w otchłani rozpaczy i szaleństwa, a wreszcie - fizycznym zejściu w mroźną otchłań w poszukiwaniu lekarstwa. Fabułka jak z pierwszej lepszej bajki, ale to przeklęte love story znajduje odzwierciedlenie w mechanikach bandy i jakoś mi się przez to podoba :)

Zondara's Gravebreakers - Zondara

I finished Zondara. I’m less happy with her hair than with Ferlain's - the original sculpt had too much plastic underneath, so it looks a bit wig-like, but I’m leaving it as it is.

Dorobiłem Zondarkę. Z włosów jestem mniej zadowolony niż u Ferlaina, bo miała w oryginale za dużo plastiku i wygląda trochę peruczkowato, ale zostanie już jak jest.

Zondara's Gravebreakers - Ferlain

After a short break I got back to painting Warhammer Underworlds Zondara’s Gravebreakers warband. Here's Ferlain upgraded with some actual fur and hair made of cotton swab fibres. Funnily enough, I haven't seen it yet, but it seems that there's a free cloth, hair and fur tutorial available at Grimdark Compendium now: link.

Po krótkiej przerwie na malowniczy konkurs i granie w gry wracam do underworldsów. Z bandy Zondara's Gravebreakers zostały mi jeszcze dwa ludki - szefowa i jej przeklęty wilkołactwem absztyfikant (lore tutaj). Dziś un, za tydzień pewnie una. 

Aeldari - Fire Dragon

This week I was having too much fun (and spent too much time) playing Dark Souls and didn't really get into painting, so I dug up and photographed another little guy from last year’s Miniature of the Month program. My grim rendition of an Eldar Fire Dragon looks like this. 

Za dobrze w tym tygodniu grało mi się w grę i do malowania trudno było się zabrać, więc wykopałem i obfotografowałem następnego ludka z zeszłorocznych figurek miesiąca. Eldarowy Fire Dragon na mroczno wygląda tak.

Carrion King

After last week’s post, you could expect to see a ghoul in a meat skirt. Well, here it is.

Po zeszłotygodniowym wpisie można było spodziewać się ghoula w mięsnej spódnicy. No i jest.

Carrion King WIP

I’m preparing my entry for the Grimdark Challenge under the theme of Carrion Thrones. Using leftover parts from Crypt Horrors, a troll’s back, Milliput, aluminum foil, masking tape, and string, I’ve put together this little guy. I wanted him to look regal - as if he’s bestowing a blessing :D

Szykuję swoje zgłoszenie na Grimdark Challange pod hasłem Carrion Thrones. Z resztek po Crypt Horrorach, pleców trolla, Milliputu, folii aluminiowej, taśmy malarskiej i sznurka poskładałem takiego  oto ludzika. Chciałem, żeby wyglądał monarszo i błogosławiąco :D

Zondara's Gravebreakers - Toyle

It’s a bit of a complicated case. Technically, it’s Toyle - a zombie from Warhammer Underworlds Zondara’s Gravebreakers - but I converted him into a dreg and painted him to fit in with the dregs based on models from The Exiled Dead warband. It ties in nicely with the idea of dregs as body snatchers, which I picked up from the Grimdark Compendium Mordheim series. Sprawa jest złożona. Teoretycznie to Toyle, zombie z ekipy Zondara's Gravebreakers, ale przerobiłem go na drega i pomalowałem tak, żeby pasował do innych pokręceńców bazujących na modelach z The Exiled Dead. Rezonuje z podpatrzoną w cyklu Grimdark Compendium o Mordheim ideą dregów - body snatcherów. A w ogóle - z okazji dziesięcolecia kanału można przez limitowany czas ściągnąć sobie cały cykl o mordce z darmo. Serdecznie polecam: link.
