The third of Drepur's Wraithcreepers: The Patrician. It was only while posting that I saw that in the main photo the focus didn't catch where it should. I'll correct this at the next shoot and replace the picture with a new one.

Drepur's Wraithcreepers - Grodrig the Lance

I started painting another Warhammer Underworlds warband. This time it's Drepur's Wraithcreepers. As I looked at my shelf, I realised that over my Underworlds years I accumulated quite a Nighthaunt contingent (Thorns of Briar Queen, Lady Harrow's Mournflight, Headmens' Curse). When I'm done with Drepur's crew, I'll have to take the old pics again and write a joint Nightaunt post.

Lecę z kolejną ekipą do Warhammer Underworlds - tym razam Drepur's Wraithcreepers. Jak spojrzałem na półkę, skonstatowałem, że przez lata uzbierał się z tego niezły nighthauntowy kontyngencik. Po skończeniu z Drepurami trzeba będzie cyknąć jeszcze raz przedpotowe fotki i zrobić jakieś duszne zestawienie.

Garrek's Reavers

Garrek’s Reavers are a band of warriors who have sworn themselves to the god of carnage and slaughter. Led by the brutal killer known as Garrek Brassbeard they maraud across the realms, butchering and despoiling in the name of their dark master. They eschew heavy armor, preferring to feel the blood spatter across their chests, and chase their prey as tirelessly as hunting wolves. Blinded by battle madness, lost to the exultant sensations of combat, they care for nothing but the kill.

Karsus / Targor / Garrek / Arnulf / Saek

Bahior zaproponował, by motywem przewodnim lipcowego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego była „Druga szansa”. O ile zaprezentowani na powyższym obrazku zbóje drugich szans przeciwnikom nie dają, to wpisują się w temat, ponieważ:

• przeleżeli w szufladzie ładnych parę lat, nim zainspirowany ich nordycką wersją podpatrzoną u Borgnine'a dałem im wreszcie w swojej głowie szansę wyzwolenia z kupki wstydu;
• zgodnie z fluffem pierwszej edycji Warhammer Underworlds ze względu na klątwę Nagaasha w formie czasowo-przestrzennej anomalii, w Shadespire nieustannie umiera się i wraca do żywych, by raz po raz toczyć te same bitwy.

Garrek's Reavers - Garrek Brassbeard

Originally, because of drinking the blood of his enemies and not washing it out of his facial hear, the name of the leader of Garrek's Reavers Warhammer Underworlds warband is Garrek Gorebeard. In my Nordic version of the team, I went with another from Khorne's favorite colors. Introducing: Garrek Brassbeard.

W oryginale, ze względu na chlanie krwi wrogów i jej niewypłukiwanie z zarostu, nazywa się Garrek Juchobrody (Gorebeard). W mojej, nordyckiej wersji ekipy poszedłem w inny z ulubionych kolorów Khorne'a. Przedstawiam: Garrek Mosiężonobrody. 

Blackpowder's Buccaneers

The Ogre Maneater Gorlok Blackpowder roams the Penumbral Sea plundering ships wherever he goes and seeking out worthy adversaries to add to his boasting-tally as his motley crew - Peggz, Kagey, Mange, and Shreek - loot everything they can get their hands, claws or beak on.

Przy okazji ogłoszonego przez Kapitana Haka tematu Figurkowego Karanawału Blogowego na czerwiec - „Wyprawa” - QuidamCorvus słusznie zauważył, że przed wyruszeniem w drogę należy zebrać drużynę. Skompletowałem więc egzotyczną załogę underworldsowych korsarzy, Blackpowder's Buccaneers, i jestem gotów na wyprawę. Ahoj, przygodo!

Going through my Warhammer Underworlds pile of shame, I found a non-playable, but fun-to-paint warband: Blackpowder's Buccaneers. It consists of gnoblar crew members, a parrot, a monkey and an ogre captain. I started with gnoblars: Peggz & Kagey.

Trochę szykując się do tematu bieżącego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego („Wyprawa”), a trochę z potrzeby pomalowania czegoś szybkiego i przyjemnego - wziąłem się za piracką underworldsową ekipę Blackpowder's Buccaneers. Na pierwszy ogień poszły gnoblary: Peggz i Kagey.

Daggok Finksteala is on a murderous mission to decapitate the best fighters within Deathgorge. With each head he takes, his kunnin' increases - or so he believes - and he means to gather enough smarts to make him a Killaboss. Grakk da Hook. A second kunnin' orc from Daggok's Stab-ladz warband. I complained about the last one's complexion being to bright, so I made this one's skin darker.

Daggok's Stab-ladz - Jagz da Bleeda

I started painting the next warband for Warhammer Underworlds: Daggok's Stab-ladz. The first model - Jagz da Bleeda - has too bright skin for my liking. I'm probably going to make it darker for the next guys.

Zacząłem malowanie kolejnej bandy do WHU - Daggok's Stab-ladz. Pierwszy, testowy model - Jagz da Bleeda - wyszedł chyba nieco za jaskrawie i następnych nieco przyciemnię. Ma za to mnóstwo sprzętu do dźgania, więc zalicza mi tegomiesięczny FKB: Przyrządy i sprzęty.

I came back to painting Garrek's Reavers. After Targor, Arnulf, and Karsus - here's Blooded Saek. There's only one model left.

Po dłuższej przerwie wracam do malowania ekipy Garrek's Reavers. To czwarty z pięciu modeli - został więc jeden :)

Polewka, polewka i po polewce. Za nami sto szesnasta edycja Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego. Udział wzięli:

bez kitu niepokojące konstrukty Bahiora,

niemający nastroju na żarty mordheimowy błazen Kapitana Haka,

polany Nurgle Rotem, kitbashowany Putrid Blightking Koyotha,

armia żywicznych (więc kitopoobnych) wojowników z Nipponu QC, 

mój kitbash Possesseda odwołujący się do klasycznego wzoru z Mordheim.

The Cult of the Possessed - Possessed Kitbash

It's my second #oldschoolnouveau mini for Mordheim Cult of the Possessed. (Magister Kitbash was the first one.) It's inspired by the mini described on Stuff of Legends as "Possessed 2". I had an opportunity to paint the original model - check out the following post: Cult of the Possessed - The Possessed if you're interested. This one is a kitbash of three models from Gellerpox Infected box:

• Legs, the back and hands are from a Nightmare Hulk,
• I took the head and the necklace from a Gnasher Screamer,
• I sculpted the belly in Milliput, but put modified teeth of a Sludge-Grub inside.

Poszedłem za ciosem po Panu Magistrze. Jadę dalej z kitbashami inspirowanymi oryginalnymi modelami mordkowych possessedów. Tu punktem wyjścia był wzór opisywany jako Possessed 2: z pazurzastą łapą, macką, rozwichrzonym włosem i kąśliwym brzuszkiem. Do kwietniowego karnawału pasuje, bo:

• brzuszek ulepiłem z kitu zwanego milliputem,
• jest pokitbashowane - model składa się z 3 różnych figurek z pudełka Gellerpox Infected,
• rzecz obficie (acz punktowo) polewałem moim ulubionym ostatnio enamel washem (Dark Brown for Green Vehicles),
• a do tego odwołuje się do figurki sprzed 25 lat - czasów, gdy „bez kitu” i „polewka” mogły być nieco bardziej młodzieżowe niż dziś.

In connection to saying bye-bye to old Stormcast Eternals, the time deficit I've had lately, and a  will to unify the quality of pictures of WHU warbands throughout the blog - the today's post consists of the new photos of the old Stormcast Eternals teams for Warhammer Underworlds. Polewka bez kitu

Figurkowy Karnawał Blogowy (FKB) to trwająca od niemal dekady inicjatywa integrująca figurkowych blogerów. Co miesiąc jedna osoba wybiera pozostałym temat (zestawienie dotychczasowych motywów przewodnich i „motywatorów” dostępne jest tutaj). Zadaniem „pozostałych” jest przygotowanie posta stanowiącego interpretację bieżącego hasła. Z okazji obchodnego dziś podwójnego święta (śmigus-dyngus x prima aprilis) temat brzmi następująco: „Polewka bez kitu”.

Interpretacji może być wiele:

• Woda, ciecze, rozpuszczalniki i płynne produkty modelarskie;
• Zupy, polewki, czernina, Ksiądz Robak, gorzałka, niziołki i gastronomia;
• Żarty, trefnisie, rzeczy dowcipne, ale też zabawne tylko pozornie;
• Kit, inne plastyczne masy i figurki przygotowane z ich użyciem;
• Okna osadzone bez kitu i - szerzej - budynki i makiety;
• Modele tak świeże jak słownictwo z tematu - middlehammer i inne starocie ;)
• Kit-bashing - mieszanie części pochodzących z różnych zestawów (kitów) i modeli;
• Wszystko co pasuje wprost albo bardzo na siłę.

Zapraszam do własnej interpretacji tematu, przygotowania czegoś pod jego pretekstem i udziału w 116. Figurkowym Karnawale Blogowym :)
