Cursed City Cleona Zeitengale

After finishing Octren Glimscry, I painted Cleona Zeitengale, another and final character from Agents of Defiance team of the Warhammer Quest: Cursed City.

Kontynuując wątek zapoczątkowany Octrenem Glimscry'em, wrzucam w kontekście karnawałowej „Klątwy Doliny Węży” kolejnego ludka z Przeklętego Miasta. Oto Cleona Zeitengale, ostatni z grywalnych bohaterów Warhammer Quest: Cursed City.

Cursed City Octren Glimscry

In July, I painted some Rat Swarms, which reminded my of the unfinished Warhammer Quest: Cursed City box, which had been more or less on the verge of completion for quite some time. I decided to push it closer to the finish line this month. Of the remaining models, I decided to tackle Octren Glimscry first. I trimmed down his overly long beard, replaced the mask with an ugly face, elongated the hood, added a two-strand beard made from a Q-tip, and worked on the base a bit. This is how it turned out after painting.

Za sprawą zeszłomiesięcznego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego przypomniałem sobie o niedokończonym (acz od dość dawna będącym na ukończeniu) pudełku Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Postanowiłem wykorzystać motyw klątwy z tegomiesięcznego tematu FKB „Klątwa Doliny Węży”, żeby pchnąć ku końcowi prace nad „Przeklętym Miastem”. Z pozostałych modeli jako pierwszym postanowiłem zająć się Octrenem Glimscry'em. Uciąłem mu przydługą brodę, maskę zastąpiłem szpetną twarzą, przedłużyłem kaptur, dorobiłem dwupasmową brodę z Q-Tipa i zwaloryzowałem podstawkę. Po pomalowaniu rzecz przedstawia się następująco.

Cursed City Rat Swarms #4-6

Zaproponowana przez Pana Rybę na lipiec jako temat Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego „Fauna” zachęciła mnie do powrotu do pudełka Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Przerobiłem nieco i pomalowałem drugi (i ostatni) trzypodstawkowy zestaw szczurzych chmar. Oto i one.

Cursed City Vargskyr

I got back to the Warhammer Quest: Cursed City project and painted a Vargskyr - the games variation of Soulblight Gravelords' Vargheist. There are only two Agents of Defiance, two zombie ogres, a few rat swarms and some markers left to paint for the set to be complete :) Enjoy!

W poprzednim tygodniu realizowałem temat listopadowego Karnawału Blogowego: „Numero Uno”, malując Skabbika, dowódcę bandy Skabbik's Plaguepack. Tym razem wziąłem się za największy model z pudełka Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Oto nietoperzowilkowampir zwany w Ulfenkarn Vargskyrem.

Cursed City Qulathis the Exile

I got back to painting Agents of Defiance from Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. I've painted Qulathis the Exile according to my Grimdark Wood Elves painting tutorial without the gloss varnish step. Along the way I figured out that you just have to wait long enough between using acrylics and oils for the previous stage to cure. Anyway, she is to fit both my Cursed City Agents of Defiance crew and multi-system Kurnothi/Swampfiend force.

Za sprawą Kapitana Haka tematem październikowego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego jest „Maszyna”. Do zmalowania tego, co zmalowałem, zachęciło mnie PWN, a konkretnie - następujące zdanie z definicji tytułowego hasła: „Za pierwsze urządzenie do przetwarzania energii, a więc za najstarszą maszynę, uznaje się łuk”. Wykorzystałem je jako pretekst do powrotu do Cursed City i wzięcia się za tamtejszą łuczniczkę: Qulathis the Exile.

Cursed City Giant Bats & Bat Swarms

Having finished converting and painting Giant Bats #1 and #2 and having their picture taken along with Bat Swarms #1-2 and #3-4, I'm done with the flying mice of the Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Just two heroes, a few rats, some markers and a Vargskyr left to go.

W ramach Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego Wołek Zbożowy zadał w lipcu temat „Tanie Dranie”. Oto mój wpis i uzasadnienie. Nie dość, że dwa wielkie, wyszczerzone złowieszczo nietoperze zrobiłem z jednej figurki, to jeszcze bandę, z której pochodzą, wygrałem chyba w jakimś turnieju. Taniej się nie da? Dorzuciłem rój bodaj 21 latających myszy upchanych na 4 podstawkach ;) Jak dla mnie - tańsko i drańsko.

Cursed City Giant Bat #1

I'm slowly finishing bad guys for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. I didn't really like the original Giant Bats, so I replaced them with converted Duke's Harriers models from Warhammer Underworlds' The Grymwatch. Here is the first of them. 

Kończę powolutku złoli do Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Oryginalne Giant Baty podobały mi się umiarkowanie, więc zastąpiłem ja skonwertowanymi modelami z underworldsowego The Grymwatch. Tu pierwszy z nich.

Cursed City Rat Swarms #1-3

I've come back to painting Warhammer Quest Cursed City miniatures once more. This time I painted some rat swarms. There are only three more rat swarms, some bats, a were-bat, some tokens, and two heroes left to paint. Maybe I'm gonna play the game after all :D

I've converted Torgilus - one of Warhammer Quest Cursed City villains - so he looks better and recalls Mordheim Warlock a bit more.

Z myślą o FKB skonwertowałem odrobinę Torgiliusa z Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - tak, żeby zyskał parę atrybutów charakterystycznych dla mordheimowego czarnoksiężnika i wyglądał nieco lepiej :)

Armored guys of February

A February's theme for the Polish mini blogosphere referred to an old TV series about four guys in a tank, so during the month I've painted four guys in armors: Sir Jedran Falseborn (Warhammer Underworls Sons of Velmorn), Dagnai Holdenstock and City Watch Captain Halgrim (Warhammer Quest Cursed City) plus Moonface Nagz (Warhammer Underworls Grinkrak's Lonncourt).

Ot, moi czterej pancerni opracowani z okazji 102 edycji FKB, której temat zaproponował QuidamCorvus - lineczki do indywidualnych postów wyżej, w angielskiej wersji językowej:

Cursed City Captain Halgrim

The second after Dagnai Holdenstock Warhammer Quest mini this month: City Watch Captain Halgrim. A fellow blogger suggested that the cape should be more weathered and I followed - hence two pictures of the back (before and after).

Trzeci z czterech pancernych zaplanowanych na ten miesiąc w ramach tematu FKB od QC: Halgrim, kapitan straży miejskiej Ulfenkarn. Za radą Wołka Zbożowego z NerdWorkshop peleryna dostała więcej brudu - stąd dwa zdjęcia pleców :)

Cursed City Dagnai Holdenstock

I got back to painting miniatures for Cursed  City - this time it's Dagnai Holdenstock, one of agents of defiance and a Kharadron Overlord.

W związku z zaproponowanym na luty tematem FKB maluję pancerne ludki. Drugim skończonym w tym miesiącu ludzikiem w zbroi lub z dużą giwerą jest Kharadron z Cursed City: Dagnai Holdenstock.

Cursed City Gorslav the Gravekeeper

Slowly but steady, I am painting miniatures for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. By now, I got most of mobs done (zombies, ulfenwatch, bats). There are some heroes, bosses, rats and markers left to paint. I took one mini off the pile of shame and painted Gorslav the Gravekeeper.

Zgodnie z figurkowo-karnawałowo-blogowym zarządzeniem Bahiora z the Dark Oak, w sierpniu trzeba było zmalować dowód na tezę, że "Rozmiar ma znaczenie". Wykorzystałem okazję, by o jedną figurkę pchnąć projekt Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Przed Państwem jeden z bossów - typ z wielkim szpadlem, Gorslav the Gravekeeper.

Cursed City Bat Swarms #3-4

On with painting the Cursed City! Two new bat swarms have been converted, painted and added to a pile of finished miniatures. I am still figuring out how to make giant bats look good (I don't really like the original models). Probably I'm gonna convert one and use a spare Grymwatch Harrier for the second one. We will see!

Już-już miałem pomalować na ogłoszony przez Borgnine'a heavy metalowy karnawał blogowy elfa z tapirem, ale wyczytałem w internetach, że w tym roku minęła 40. rocznica odgryzienia przez Ozzy'ego głowy nietoperza. Pomyślałem, że to jest heavy metal pełną gębą i wykorzystałem okazję, żeby pchnąć do przodu temat Cursed City - tym razem o kolejne dwa nietoperki. Trochę je skonwertowałem i pomalowałem inaczej niż pierwszą parkę (można porównać pod Cursed City Bat Swarms #1-2). Dodatkowo, żeby przydać nieco metalowości, załączam fotkę z bladym, długowłosym młodzieńcem z metalem w garderobie.

Cursed City's duelist, vampire and ogre are my entry for "Good, Bad and Ugly" - a June's theme for painting minis in Polish tebletop wargames blogosphere.

Cursed City Brutogg the Corpse-Eater

Gettin' closer and closer to play Warhammer Quest: Cursed City with painted miniatures :) Brutogg the Corpse Eater is the fourth Agent if Defiance I've painted (four to go). I got all the zombies, vampires and skeleton henchmen painted, so there are three bosses and lost of bats&rats left. Still, it seems it's rather closer then farther now :)

W tym miesiącu tematem Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego - inicjatywy mającej na celu zmotywowanie do wrzucenia czegoś na figurkowe blożki - jest "Dobry, zły i brzydki". Po "dobrym" (w tej roli Glaurio ven Alten III) i "złym" (Radukar the Wolf we własnej osobie) przyszedł czas na brzydkiego. Oto i on, padlinożerny brzydal: Brutogg the Corpse-Eater.
