There have been da boyz, Thugg and 'Ardskull, so now's the time for Morgok himself :)

Morgok's Krushas' 'Ardskull

After finishing Thugg I got to 'Ardskull - the only Morgok's Krushas mini I wanted to convert. I didn't fancy the flail and I had a feeling that there's chance to make him more intimidating by replacing bird skull with a mammal one. In the end it looks like that:

Po Thuggu wziąłem się za 'Ardskulla - jedyny model z ekipy, który miałem potrzebę konwertować. Wizualnie nie bardzo odpowiadał mi cep. Widziałem też potencjał zwiększenia straszności w przerobieniu ptasiej czaszki na ssaczą. Wyszło to to tak:

Morgok's Krushas' Thugg

Having painted Hrothgorn's Mantrappers, I started painting Morgok's Krushas. Thugg became an object of painting scheme test. I went a step further with experiments concerning shine, black and rust on armor (started with Grashrak's Despoilers' Draknar) and - according to example given by Ex Profundis Orruk Backbreaker - I tried not to paint green skin in cartoony way and builded the color from purple and blue shades. The effect looks like this:

Skończywszy malować Hrothgorn's Mantrappers, wziąłem się za Morgok's Krushas. Obiektem testów schematu kolorystycznego stał się Thugg. Poszedłem o krok dalej z podjętymi ostatnio przy okazji Draknara z Grashrak's Despoilers eksperymentami z połyskiem, czernią i rdzą na pancerzu i - wzorem Orruk Backbreakera z Ex Profundis - starałem się uciec od kreskówkowego klimatu orków, budując zieleń skóry na fioletowych i niebieskich cieniach. Efekt wygląda tak:

Lured into endless purgatory of hunger and death which Beastgrave mountain is, Hrothgorn and his ragtag entourage are set about finding a way out and hunt abundant prey-beasts once again.

There have been a sabretusk and gnoblars, so now it's time for an ogre. Today solo and with Thrafnir, on Saturday with the whole warband.

Hrothgorn's Mantrappers' Gnoblars

I didn't feel like painting Hrothgorn's Mantrappers' gnoblars green. Fortunately, I've come upon boglars  (bog gnoblars) description in a wiki and a photo suggesting they come in blue as well. Here they are, my blue: Luggit&Thawk, Quiv, Bushwakka and a trap.

Jakoś nie pasowało mi malowanie gnoblarów Hrothgorna na zielono. Szczęśliwie, znalazłem w wiarygodnym źródle opis odmiany bagiennej - boglarów, wraz ze zdjęciem świadczącym, że gnoblary występują też w niebieskiej wersji kolorystycznej. Oto moi niebiescy: Luggit&Thawk, Quiv, Bushwakka i pułapka.

Hrothgorn's Mantrappers' Thrafnir

As the last 2 warbands of 3rd Warhammer Underworlds season are out this Saturday, I wanted to paint the last Beastgrave team I haven't deal with so far: Hrothgorn's Mantrappers. I started with a sabretusk named Thrafnir.

W przeddzień premiery dwóch ostatnich band 3. sezonu Warhammer Underworlds postanowiłem wziąć się za ostatnią niepomalowaną ekipę z Beastgrave - Hrothgorn's Mantrappers. Na pierwszy ogień poszedł sabretusk imieniem Thrafnir.
