Stormsire's Cursebreakers

"Storm" was a key-word I had in mind while painting my Cursebreakers. Picking a color for their clothes I wanted it to bring storm clouds to mind. Spirit flasks and weapons were to look like they contain a lightning ready to struck. 'Cause I do not like typical Stormcast gold I tried to add dark-blueish tints to their armors as well.

They were given a rather quick paint job for my standards, but all in all I am satisfied with OSL effects, transitions of colors on robes and the warband in general. Below you'll find a group photo and some close-ups.

"Burza" to słowo-klucz, które towarzyszyło mi podczas malowania Zaklinaczy. Wybierając kolor szat, chciałem, żeby przywodziły na myśl burzowe chmury. Fiolki Dusz i bronie miały wyglądać jakby zawierały pioruny gotowe, by uderzyć. Jako że nie przepadam za typowym stormcastowym złotem, starałem się zagranatowić także pancerze.

Jak na moje standardy uporałem się z malowainem dość szybko, ale jestem zadowolony z efektów OSL, przejść kolorów na płaszczach i z bandy ogółem. Powyżej zdjęcie grupowe, a poniżej parę zbliżeń.

Here's the last mini for my Stormsire's Cursebreakers: Ammis Dawnguard. Instead of the original model I used a Knight Incantor - I just found Ammis and Rastus to similar to easily tell one from another. In order to make her look less "bossy" and to give no doubts about Averon's superior position in the warband, I downgraded her staff a little bit.

Oto ostatnia figurka do ekipy Zaklinaczy Stormsire'a: Ammis Strzegąca Świtu. W miejsce oryginalnego modelu użyłem Knight Incantora - Ammis i Rastus wydawali mi się zbyt podobni, by łatwo ich odróżniać. Żeby wyglądała trochę mniej "szefowo" i by nie było wątpliwości co do wyższej pozycji Averona, dałem jej trochę mniej spektakularny kostur.

FKB LX - Sepulchral Guard Petitioners

"The dice have been cast", the famous Ceasar's quote, in Polish sounds the same way as "Bones have been thrown". When I learned from Elmin of "Paint for the Paint God" that "Alea iacta est" is the August's theme for Polish miniatures blogs, I knew that it is a perfect opportunity to paint a bony trio: Petitioners of Warhammer Underworlds Sepulchral Guard.

Zacząłem kolejną bandę do Warhammer Underworlds: Zaklinaczy Stormsire'a. Oto Rastus Zaklęty.

Thundrik's Profiteers Bjorgen Thundrik

Kharadron Warband is complete. The boss, Bjorgen Thundrik, was painted as the last one (Gharrod Alensen was the 1st one, Enrik Ironhail - 2nd, Khazgan Drakkskewer - 3rd; and Dead-Eye Lund - 4th).

Domalowałem drużynę Kharadronów do końca. Na deser zostawiłem sobie szefa: Bjorgena Thundrika (przystawkę stanowił Gharrod Alensen, zupę - Enrik Ironhail, schabowego - Khazgan Drakkskewer, a ziemniory - Dead-Eye Lund).

FKB LIX - Mój warsztat

Kamil z Zielonego Skavena zaproponował, żeby w ramach LIX Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego pokazać swój warsztat. No to proszę. Cytadelkowe farbki (Fot. 1) rozmalowuję po ludkach pędzlami Kozłowski z czerwonej kuny (Fot. 2; poz. 1) na podeściku z Hobby Zone (Fot. 1, tło Fot. 2). To, co mi się na nim nie zmieściło (pigmenty i oleje od MIG-a, technikale, glejzy, farby teksturalne, metaliki i łosze), trzymam na ichniej dostawce (Fot. 3). Czasem przyrzeźbię coś w Green Stuffie / Millipucie dentystycznym czymś (Fot. 2; poz. 3) albo wywiercę dziurę ręczną wiertareczką od GW (Fot. 2; poz. 2). Przy ostrych konwersjach do piłowania i użynania używam szlifiereczki z Lidla (Fot. 4). I na co dzień to mniej więcej tyle :)
