Elathain’s Soulraid

Over the Centuries, the Idoneth Deepkin of the Ionrach Enclave had visited Beastgrave many times, claiming countless souls with which they might ensure their own survival. Accompanied by his soul-bound Thrall Tammael, the bond-beast Duinclaw, and his sworn Ishlaen escort, Fuirann, the celebrated Isharann Soulrender Elathain was tasked with leading the latest foray and has sworn to reap the souls of all who had heard the mountain's call.

After Tammael, Fuirann, Spinefin and Duinclaw it can't be surprising to see Elethain Ill-Fated :) Soon I'll post the group photo of whole Elathain's Soulraid warband.

W karnawałowym poście wspominałem, że w opozycji do reprezentujących świnie dzikich orków mogliby wystąpić rybolubni Idoneth Deepkin. Akurat trzeba było wykończyć bandę Elathain's Soulraid, to i jest.

Elathain’s Soulraid - Duinclaw

Duinclaw has been an expected follow-up to Spinefin, Fuirann and Tammael. And here it is - second best Games Workshop miniature of the year 2021, the crab. There's just the boss of Elathain's Soulraid left to convert and paint, but I'll take some time off from the project to make something for Mordheim again :)

"Świat się zmienia, słońce zachodzi, a wódka się kończy" - przypomniał w temacie LXXXIX Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego Furiusz. Co oczywiste, przywiodło mi to na myśl "Wiedźmina" i co niemal równie oczywiste - jego zakończenie. Zakończenie "Wiedźmina" kojarzy mi się z kolei ze ślimakami i winem, a te z kategorią "owoce morza". No i cyk - będzie krab! - adekwatny do tematu tym bardziej, że w organizowanym przez GW plebiscycie na figurkę roku zajął drugie miejsce :D

After Tammael here's Fuirann, my second (and IMO the least interesting) mini for Elathain’s Soulraid Warhammer: Underworlds warband. The fish and the crab are next! :D

Elathain’s Soulraid - Tammael

Preparing and painting Tammael, a test model for the Warhammer Underworlds Elathain's Soulraid team, allowed me to say that a) I will remove over-the-top decorations on each of the Idoneths of the warband b) a color scheme inspired by the box, based on the contrast of pale and dark with a splash of the coral color, works pretty well. I am looking forward to painting the fish and the crab :D

Przygotowanie i malowanie Tammaela, testowego modelu do underworldsowej ekipy Elathain's Soulraid, pozwoliło mi stwierdzić, że a) każdemu z należących do bandy Idonethów będę usuwał zbyt rozbuchane zdobienia, b) zainspirowany box artem schemat kolorystyczny oparty na kontraście bladego z mrocznym i ozdóbkami koloru koralowego sprawdza się całkiem nieźle. Cieszę się na rybę i kraba :D
