Sisters Superior & Sigmarite Matriarch

On Thursday, I summarized the progress on the Witch Hunters. Today, I’m publishing an update on my band of Sisters of Sigmar. So far, I’ve assembled three Sister Superiors, an Augur, and a Sigmarite Matriarch. A fourth Sister Superior is on the way. I also plan to replace the Augur (hence the lack of a photo here). As for the henchwomen, I have a preliminary idea of how to approach that, but it will probably take some time.

Tak jak w czwartek postanowiłem z okazji Karnawału podsumować postępy w zakresie Łowców Czarownic, tak dziś publikuję update w zakresie mojej bandy Sióstr Sigmara. Skleciłem dotąd trzy siostry przełożone, augurkę i matriarchę. W drodze jest czwarta Sister Superior. Planuję również wymianę wieszczki (stąd brak zdjęcia tutaj). Mam też wstępny zamysł, jak podejść do kwestii stronniczek, ale to pewnie jeszcze potrwa.

Mordheim Witch Hunters Kitbashes

There hasn't been an opportunity to post photos of the two finished trios of kitbashed Witch Hunters – the one with ranged weapons and the one inspired by the original Mordheim models. Now there is, so here they are. 

Nie było jakoś okazji, żeby wrzucić wspólne fotki dwóch skończonych trójek Witch Hunterów - tej z broniami dystansowymi i tej inspirowanej oryginalnymi modelami do Mordheim. Bieżący FKB bez wątpienia taką okazją jest, więc niniejszym.

Sisters of Sigmar - Sigmarite Matriarch

I assembled a Sisters of Sigmar Sigmarite Matriarch for Mordheim using the following parts:

• WH40K Repentia Squad - Repentia Superior: body, legs, hands, whip and tome
• Kill Team Novitiates - Novitiate Superior: head
• Warcry Wildercorps Hunters: backpack, dogs' collars ornaments

The sigmarite hammer is scratch built from a Stormcast Eternals weapon handle ornament, thick plasticard, and a paper clip. All the lilies and chalices were removed and replaced with double-tailed comets. I painted her to match my previous Sisters of Sigmar. The method is quite similar to Grimdark Witch Hunters Painting Tutorial, but there are some differences and I think I am gonna make a separate tutorial someday.

Poskładałem szefową do mordkowej drużyny Sióstr Sigmara:

• Jako podstawy użyłem Repentia Superior z pudełka czterdziestkowego Repentia Squad.
• Główkę podmieniłem na łebek Novitiate Superior z kill teamowego pudła Novitiates
• Plecaczek zabrałem z ramki Warcry'owych Wildercorps Hunters
• Młotek poskładałem z końcówki uchwytu broni sigmarinesów, plasticardu, ozdóbki z obroży wildercorpsowego psa i spinacza biurowego z owijką.
• Wyrżnąłem wszystkie kielichy i lilijki i zastąpiłem je greenstuffowymi kometkami.

Pomalowałem ją na wzór ukończonych dotychczas siostrzyczek. Korzystam z kolorów i metod podobnych jak u Witch Hunterów, ale są różnice i chyba trzeba będzie kiedyś zrobić osobny tutorial.

Witch Hunters - X-bow Witch Hunter #2

I stumbled upon a suitable miniature — WHU Knives of the Crone Aphel — and stripped it of its original body to create my next Witch Hunter with a missile weapon. It's basically a head swap with a few minor adjustments. I painted it more or less according to my Grimdark Witch Hunter Painting Tutorial. Enjoy!

Napatoczył się dobry korpusik (odebrany Aphelowi z Knives of the Crone), więc dorobiłem do moich mordheimowych Witch Hunterów trzeciego łowcę z bronią dystansową. Podmieniłem główkę i usunąłem trochę elfickiego badziewia. Pomalowany moim standardowym sposobem. 

The Cult of the Possessed - Accursed Cultists Possessed #2

After a short break, I returned to the Cult of the Possessed and made another Possessed based on the Accursed Cultists WH40k kit (see the previous Accursed Cultists Possesed). I kept the model almost unchanged. I only modified the tail a bit - to more accurately represent the Scorpion Tail mutation. 

Po krótkiej przerwie wróciłem do Kultu Opętanych i zrobiłem następnego Possesseda bazującego na czterdziestkowym zestawie Accursed Cultists. Model zachowałem niemal bez zmian, zmodyfikowałem nieco tylko ogon - tak, żeby trafniej przedstawiał mutację Scorpion Tail.

Witch Hunters - Warrior Priest

A Warrior Priest for a Mordheim Witch Hunter warband based on Warhammer Underworlds Brethren of the Bolt's Friar Galvic. I substituted his original lightning rod with a "halo" taken from the WarCry Unmade box and made a few minor conversions.

Oparty na modelu Friar Galvic z underworldoswego Brethren of the Bolt kapłan Sigmara do ekipy łowców czarownic. Piorunochron zastąpiłem aureolką urżniętą z WarCry'owych the Unmade, parę rzeczy wyciąłem, a parę dodałem.

Reikland Captain with 2-handed sword

Here's a guy from out of my comfort zone, painted for a fellow blogger for a Christmas Mini Exchange :) (Hence the tree on the second picture.) It seems it's a first Empire mini on my blog ever. The renaissance outfit gave me a hard time - possibly because I am not used to painting stuff in bright colors (when it's not blood, guts or OSL). Nevertheless it was fun. Enjoy!

W ramach organizowanej przez Elmina Świątecznej Wymiany Figurkowej przyszło mi obdarować autora bloga Boston Steel Works. Przekopując jego archiwa w poszukiwaniu czegoś z obszaru moich zainteresowań, dogrzebałem się postu dotyczącego Mordheim i Imperium. Kolega skarżył się w nim, że źli ludzie pozbawili go niegdyś figurki reiklandzkiego kapitana z dwurękolem. Niestety akurat tym modelem nie dysponowałem, ale skonwertowałem z pobliskich bitsów coś możliwie podobnego i wsadziłem opcjonalnie na podstawkę z choinką i śnieżkiem. Kolorowe fatałaszki - możliwie dopasowane do schematu kolorystycznego bostońskiej bandy -  były interesującym wyjściem z mojej strefy malarskiego komfortu.

Dla zainteresowanych: mnie w ramach ŚWF obdarował Kapitan Hak - i pięknie swoje dzieło obfotografował i przedstawił tutaj :)

The Cult of the Possessed - Accursed Cultists Possessed

Kitbashing Cult of the Possessed models was fun, so I decided to stay in that state of mind for a little longer and paint another possessed model - this time straight from the box, without any modifications. It's a model from WH40k Accursed Cultists.

Dobrze mi było z tymi paskudnymi stworami do kultu opętanych, więc poszedłem za ciosem i pomalowałem kolejnego. Tym razem bez cudowania i konwersji, prościutko z pudełka Accursed Cultists do WH40k.

The Cult of the Possessed - Possessed Kitbash

In the painting frenzy I went through in November '24 in connection with the Mordheim 25th anniversary painting contest, I've eventually managed to complete entries in all five categories. As a large model, I submitted the following figure - a kitbash of the possessed for Cult of the Possessed warband. I used the following parts:

• torso, legs and left arm from the Gellerpox Infected box, enhanced with additional heads coming out of the body from another model from the same box,
• the right arm of the AoS stone troll (Rockgut Troggoths box),
• head from the Gobbapalooza set.

The thing is loosely inspired by the original model (the less popular one I think): the one with a big hand, a pincer and faces coming out of non-obvious places (it's described as "Possessed 1" on Stuff of Legends). I am still not sure if I should keep the head, but for now I am going to leave it as it is.

PL: porównanie mojego i oryginalnego modelu

W listopadowym szale malowania na potrzeby jubileuszowego konkursu na 25-lecie Mordheim udało mi się ostatecznie zrealizować prace we wszystkich pięciu kategoriach. Jako duży model zgłosiłem poniższą figurkę - kitbash opętańca do Cult of the Possessed. Użyłem następujących części:

• tułowia, nóg i lewej ręki z pudła Gellerpox Infected, wzbogaconych wychodzącymi z ciała dodatkowymi głowami z innego modelu z tego samego pudła,
• prawej ręki AoS-owego kamiennego trolla (rockgut troggotha),
• głowy z zestawu Gobbapalooza.

Rzecz jest luźno inspirowana oryginalnym modelem - tym mniej popularnym: z wielką łapą, szczypcem i twarzami wychodzącymi z nieoczywistych miejsc. Nie jestem pewien, czy ta „główna” głowa działa jak należy, ale na razie zostanie, gdzie jest.

Black Skaven #2

The last December's GW Miniature of the Month to be used as a Black Skaven with Halberd to accompany Black Skaven #1 in a warband lead by Warhammer Underworld's Slynk Skittershank.

Grudniowa figurka miesiąca GW do wykorzystania w mordheimowej bandzie szczurków jako czarny skaven z halabardą obok zeszłotygodniowego wariantu z pazurkami.

A conversion of a Black Skaven with Fighting Claws based on December's GW MotM. Made with a skaven Mordheim warband on mind - a pack lead by Warhammer Underworld's Slynk Skittershank.

Bazująca na grudniowej sklepowej figurce miesiąca GW konwersja czarnego skavena z katarami (broń, nie smarki!). Przygotawana z myślą o mordheimowej bandzie z underworldsowym Skittershankiem na czele.

Flagellants #1-2

I'm giving the flagellants a break for a while, so - to sum up what's done so far - here's a photo of the two finished guys together including WIP pictures: before and after the conversion.

Na jakiś czas daję spokój flagellantom, wrzucam więc jeszcze wspólne fotki tych już ukończonych, w tym WIP-owe: przed i po konwersji. Że noszą coś jakby pokutne wory, zdają się pasować do grudniowego, zaproponowanego przez QC tematu Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego: „Wory, skarpety i paczki”.

Witch Hunters - Flagellant #2

The second Flagellant based on a metal model from the mid-2000s (Check out the original model - Flagellant 3 in the '05-06 US GW Catalog). Just like the Flagellant #1 he got a Khorne warrior's face. I also repositioned his chains and feet. 

Drugi biczownik na bazie metalowego modelu z połowy pierwszej dekady XXI wieku. Podobnie jak kolega dostał twarz po wojowniku Khorne'a. Przestawiłem mu też łańcuchy i stopy.

Witch Hunters - Crossbow Pistol Witch Hunter

The second of the hooded Witch Hunters.

Parts used:

• Warhammer Underworlds: Hexbane's Hunters - legs, torso
• Warhammer Underworlds: The Shadeborn - cloak, hood & right hand
• WarCry: Khainite Shadowstalkers - left hand with a crossbow pistol
• Age of Sigmar: Freeguild Command Corps - fish
• Green Stuff, Milliput, a paper clip (for hammer shank)

Witch Hunters - Crossbow Witch Hunter

The Mordheim anniversary painting contest keeps me working on the Witch Hunters warband. I've already finished Zealots kitbashes and posted some pictures of the first Flagellant. I've made Witch Hunters inpired by the original Mordheim minis some time ago (#1, #2 and #3), so I had to come up with something new for the competition. I went with the excerpt from the Mordheim Rulebook "Witch Hunters are well-armed and sturdy individuals. They favour hooded cloaks and headgear which conceal their appearance from the overly curious". Here's my first hooded Witch Hunter with a crossbow. 

Ze względu na rocznicowy konkurs na facebookowej grupie Mordheim na dobre wsiąkłem w Witch Hunterów (to właśnie ich  zamierzam wystawić w kategorii „banda”). Modele inspirowane oryginalnymi figurkami zrobiłem przy innej okazji, a że tutaj trzeba było sklecić coś nowego, tym razem jako punkt wyjścia potraktowałem opis z podręcznika gracza, traktujący o tym, jak to z łowców czarownic zamaskowani fachowcy. No i proszę bardzo: zamaskowany fachowiec numer jeden. Żeby jeszcze raz załapać się na bahiorowe FKB, zrobiłem mu sprzączkę w czaszkę ;)

• WarCry: Wildercorps Hunters - forearms, hands, crossbow, shaft (the hammer head is scratch-built)
• two pins and a lot of milliput

• WarCry: Wildercorps Hunters - przedramiona, dłonie, kusza, trzonek (główkę młotka poskładałem z greenstuffu i kawałka kometki z plastikowych flagellantów).
• dwie szpilki i sporo milliputu.

Witch Hunters - Flagellant #1

After finishing the zealots, I continue making henchmen for the Mordheim Witch Hunters warband. Here is the first of a pair of flagellants planned for now. This is a slightly reworked metal model from the middle of the first decade of the 21st century (Check out "Flagellant 4" in the '05-06 US GW Catalog if you like). He got a new face; I also improved the collar, swapped the weapon, and lengthened the legs. 

Po skończeniu fanatyków idę za ciosem z produkcją henchmanów do bandy łowców czarownic. Oto pierwszy z planowanej na teraz parki biczowników. To nieco przerobiony metalowy model z połowy pierwszej dekady XXI wieku. Dostał nową twarz; ulepszyłem też obróżkę, podmieniłem broń i nieco wydłużyłem nogi. Ze względu na duże zagęszczenie czaszek (jedna na karku, druga w dłoni, trzecia na plecach) model stanowi mój wpis w ramach ogłoszonego przez Bahiora z Dark Oak listopadkowego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego :)
