Blackpowder's Buccaneers

The Ogre Maneater Gorlok Blackpowder roams the Penumbral Sea plundering ships wherever he goes and seeking out worthy adversaries to add to his boasting-tally as his motley crew - Peggz, Kagey, Mange, and Shreek - loot everything they can get their hands, claws or beak on.

Przy okazji ogłoszonego przez Kapitana Haka tematu Figurkowego Karanawału Blogowego na czerwiec - „Wyprawa” - QuidamCorvus słusznie zauważył, że przed wyruszeniem w drogę należy zebrać drużynę. Skompletowałem więc egzotyczną załogę underworldsowych korsarzy, Blackpowder's Buccaneers, i jestem gotów na wyprawę. Ahoj, przygodo!

The Blackpowder's Buccaneers crew grows. A parrot named Shreek and a monkey called Mange join the gnoblars.

Going through my Warhammer Underworlds pile of shame, I found a non-playable, but fun-to-paint warband: Blackpowder's Buccaneers. It consists of gnoblar crew members, a parrot, a monkey and an ogre captain. I started with gnoblars: Peggz & Kagey.

Trochę szykując się do tematu bieżącego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego („Wyprawa”), a trochę z potrzeby pomalowania czegoś szybkiego i przyjemnego - wziąłem się za piracką underworldsową ekipę Blackpowder's Buccaneers. Na pierwszy ogień poszły gnoblary: Peggz i Kagey.

Cursed City Brutogg the Corpse-Eater

Gettin' closer and closer to play Warhammer Quest: Cursed City with painted miniatures :) Brutogg the Corpse Eater is the fourth Agent if Defiance I've painted (four to go). I got all the zombies, vampires and skeleton henchmen painted, so there are three bosses and lost of bats&rats left. Still, it seems it's rather closer then farther now :)

W tym miesiącu tematem Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego - inicjatywy mającej na celu zmotywowanie do wrzucenia czegoś na figurkowe blożki - jest "Dobry, zły i brzydki". Po "dobrym" (w tej roli Glaurio ven Alten III) i "złym" (Radukar the Wolf we własnej osobie) przyszedł czas na brzydkiego. Oto i on, padlinożerny brzydal: Brutogg the Corpse-Eater.

Lured into endless purgatory of hunger and death which Beastgrave mountain is, Hrothgorn and his ragtag entourage are set about finding a way out and hunt abundant prey-beasts once again.

There have been a sabretusk and gnoblars, so now it's time for an ogre. Today solo and with Thrafnir, on Saturday with the whole warband.

Hrothgorn's Mantrappers' Gnoblars

I didn't feel like painting Hrothgorn's Mantrappers' gnoblars green. Fortunately, I've come upon boglars  (bog gnoblars) description in a wiki and a photo suggesting they come in blue as well. Here they are, my blue: Luggit&Thawk, Quiv, Bushwakka and a trap.

Jakoś nie pasowało mi malowanie gnoblarów Hrothgorna na zielono. Szczęśliwie, znalazłem w wiarygodnym źródle opis odmiany bagiennej - boglarów, wraz ze zdjęciem świadczącym, że gnoblary występują też w niebieskiej wersji kolorystycznej. Oto moi niebiescy: Luggit&Thawk, Quiv, Bushwakka i pułapka.

Hrothgorn's Mantrappers' Thrafnir

As the last 2 warbands of 3rd Warhammer Underworlds season are out this Saturday, I wanted to paint the last Beastgrave team I haven't deal with so far: Hrothgorn's Mantrappers. I started with a sabretusk named Thrafnir.

W przeddzień premiery dwóch ostatnich band 3. sezonu Warhammer Underworlds postanowiłem wziąć się za ostatnią niepomalowaną ekipę z Beastgrave - Hrothgorn's Mantrappers. Na pierwszy ogień poszedł sabretusk imieniem Thrafnir.

FKB XLI: Ogre Mercenary/Paymaster

"Skarb!" - zaordynował temat FKB na ten miesiąc Kapitan Hak. "Wreszcie okazja, by pomalować coś mordheimowego!" - pomyślałem w odpowiedzi. Akurat miałem w szafce wstydu Ogre Paymastera obwieszonego skarbami jak choinka bombkami. Pozyskałem go kiedyś z myślą o najęciu do pozostającej dotychczas w sferze planów bandy pogromców czarownic. Może coś się z nimi ruszy...

"A treasure!" - shouted Kapitan Hak giving the topic of this month's MBC. "Finally, an opportunity to paint sth for Mordheim!" - I thought back. I've just had this Ogre Paymaster covered with treasure chests all over. I acquired him with intention to add as a hired sword to still not existent witch hunter warband. Hopefully he's gonna be a good start for it.

BB Ogres Snotlings (2nd ed. Goblins)

Tadziu, ten co wciągnął mnie Backstreet Ogrami w malowanie Blood Bowla (jak się zapowiada - na dobre), powziął szlachetne postanowienie sukcesywnej wymiany nowych goblinów (udających  w drużynie snotlingi) na stare. Na razie wpadły dwa gobliny z drugiej edycji :)

Tadziu, the guy who dragged me into painting Blood Bowl with Backstreet Ogres (for good it seems), decided to gradually replace the new goblins (pretending to be snotlings in the team) with some old ones. He've found two goblins from the 2nd edition of Blood Bowl so far :)

• Snots #8, #9, #10, #11 are goblins from the new box and #13 is a "goblin ball" from the same box (it's just painted to fit the rest). 
• #12 is a 3rd edition Blood Bowl goblin.
