Garrek's Reavers

Garrek’s Reavers are a band of warriors who have sworn themselves to the god of carnage and slaughter. Led by the brutal killer known as Garrek Brassbeard they maraud across the realms, butchering and despoiling in the name of their dark master. They eschew heavy armor, preferring to feel the blood spatter across their chests, and chase their prey as tirelessly as hunting wolves. Blinded by battle madness, lost to the exultant sensations of combat, they care for nothing but the kill.

Karsus / Targor / Garrek / Arnulf / Saek

Bahior zaproponował, by motywem przewodnim lipcowego Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego była „Druga szansa”. O ile zaprezentowani na powyższym obrazku zbóje drugich szans przeciwnikom nie dają, to wpisują się w temat, ponieważ:

• przeleżeli w szufladzie ładnych parę lat, nim zainspirowany ich nordycką wersją podpatrzoną u Borgnine'a dałem im wreszcie w swojej głowie szansę wyzwolenia z kupki wstydu;
• zgodnie z fluffem pierwszej edycji Warhammer Underworlds ze względu na klątwę Nagaasha w formie czasowo-przestrzennej anomalii, w Shadespire nieustannie umiera się i wraca do żywych, by raz po raz toczyć te same bitwy.

Garrek's Reavers - Garrek Brassbeard

Originally, because of drinking the blood of his enemies and not washing it out of his facial hear, the name of the leader of Garrek's Reavers Warhammer Underworlds warband is Garrek Gorebeard. In my Nordic version of the team, I went with another from Khorne's favorite colors. Introducing: Garrek Brassbeard.

W oryginale, ze względu na chlanie krwi wrogów i jej niewypłukiwanie z zarostu, nazywa się Garrek Juchobrody (Gorebeard). W mojej, nordyckiej wersji ekipy poszedłem w inny z ulubionych kolorów Khorne'a. Przedstawiam: Garrek Mosiężonobrody.

Garrek's Reavers - Targor

I've painted most of Warhammer Underworlds warbands, but I neglected some along the way. Now I'm trying to make up for it. Here's Targor, the beginning of my version of one of the two oldest WHU Teams: Garrek's Reavers. My aim is to make them look more badass and less fancy. I'm removing some ornaments and swapping some heads. I hope you like it!

Zaproponowany przez Kapitana Haka temat Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego - „Broda” - postanowiłem wykorzystać jako pretekst do wzięcia się za projekt odwlekany od niepamiętnych czasów. Założeniem jest odpicowanie jednej z dwóch najstarszych band do WHU z nordyckim twistem. A wiadomo: jak wikingi, to i brody. Skandynawski kierunek interpretacji wyznaczyła świetna praca Borgnine'a: Sons of Skalv. W przeciwieństwie do zdolnego kolegi, zdecydowałem się jednak zachować część ikonografii Khorne'a. Oto pierwszy ludek: Targor.

Gorechosen of Dromm

Dromm, Wounder of the Worlds, and his group of Gorechosen, consisting of Skullgrinder Herax and the muscle-bound, bestial Gorehulk, plan to drown the realm of Ulgu in blood of fallen enemies. In the name of Khorne, let the blood flow.

The leader of Gorechosen of Dromm - Dromm, Wounder of the Worlds - is done. I didn't like the original head that much, so I've made a headswap.

Dromm, naczelny drań ekipy krwybrańców, jest skończony. Choć dostał nową i przeszedł kurację farbami, nie da się ukryć, że stracił głowę.

Gorechosen of Dromm - Skullgrinder Herax

I'm proceeding with painting Gorechosen of Dromm Warhammer Unerworlds warband. After the Gorehulk I've painted Skullgrinder Herax :)

W ciągu dalszym maluję underworldsową ekipę Gorechosen of Dromm. Po "Juchaku" przyszła pora na  "Czaszkotłuka" Heraxa :D

I started painting a next Warhammer Underworlds warband. This time it's "Gorechosen of Dromm" - a three members Khorne team consisting of a shaman, a "fireman" and a big guy. I began with the biggie.

Ruszyłem z malowaniem kolejnej bandy do WHU - trzyosobowej ekipy Khorne'a z szamanem, ogniowym i bydlakiem. Zacząłem od bydlaka :D

Magore's Fiends' Magore Redhand

Here's the Magore's Fiends boss. I managed to get better white balance than on Ghartok's i Zharkus' photos, so you can see they're not that yellow it seemed. There'll be an opportunity to compare their colors on a group picture. Hopefully I'll be able to take one soon enough - there's only the Riptooth left to paint.

Jest i szef Diabłów Magore'a. Udało się złapać balans bieli lepiej niż u Ghartoka i Zharkusa i widać, że nie są aż tak żółci, ale za to na każdej fotce wygląda trochę inaczej :P Przy okazji zdjęcia zbiorowego będzie można porównać jednego z drugim. Jak wszystko dobrze pójdzie, to już niedługo - do pomalowania został tylko Riptooth.

I didn't know what to paint, so I started painting Magore's Fiends. I tested the color scheme on Ghartok.
