Soulblight Gravelords - Barrow Guard

In between projects I painted the Warhammer Miniature of the Month: Soulblight Gravelords Barrow Guard. I more or less followed the Ulfenwatch painting tutorial.

Cursed City Vargskyr

I got back to the Warhammer Quest: Cursed City project and painted a Vargskyr - the games variation of Soulblight Gravelords' Vargheist. There are only two Agents of Defiance, two zombie ogres, a few rat swarms and some markers left to paint for the set to be complete :) Enjoy!

Sons of Velmorn

Cursed City Captain Halgrim

The second after Dagnai Holdenstock Warhammer Quest mini this month: City Watch Captain Halgrim. A fellow blogger suggested that the cape should be more weathered and I followed - hence two pictures of the back (before and after).

Trzeci z czterech pancernych zaplanowanych na ten miesiąc w ramach tematu FKB od QC: Halgrim, kapitan straży miejskiej Ulfenkarn. Za radą Wołka Zbożowego z NerdWorkshop peleryna dostała więcej brudu - stąd dwa zdjęcia pleców :)

Sons of Velmorn - Sir Jedran Falseborn

On with Warhammer Underworlds Sons of Velmorn warband! Here's Sir Jedran Falseborn. I used my versions of my favorite oxidation techniques on this one: Borgnine's verdgris and Gardens of Hecate's corroded plate.  It seems that because of a side project concerning heavily armored miniatures the final two members of the team and the group photo are to be posted in March.

I znów Figurkowy Karnawał Blogowy wywrócił mi planowaną kolejność postów :D W związku z zaproponowanym przez QC tematem „Rudy 102” (link) postanowiłem pomalować w tym miesiącu czterech pancernych. Oto pierwszy z nich: Sir Jedran Falseborn z ekipy Sons of Velmorn do Warhammer Underworlds.

Sons of Velmorn - Morlak

I usually paint the best model in a warband at the end, but in this case an opportunity arose and King Morlak Velmorn of Sons of Velmorn skipped the line and got painted right after Faulk the Test Model ;) Here it is.

Do zaproponowanego przez Pepe tematu FKB „Ressurection” pasowałby na moje oko każdy z ożywionych szkieletów z bandy Sons of Velmorn, a ja zwykle zostawiam najlepsze na koniec. Żeby jednak zabalować z przytupem, zmieniłem z okazji karnawału planowaną kolejność malowania i najbardziej efektownego w mojej ocenie ludzika przesunąłem tak, żeby zdążył na styczniową edycję. Proszę bardzo: król Morlak Velmorn.

Sons of Velmorn - Faulk

Despite I still haven't posted a group photo, Gnarlspirit Pack Warhammer Underworlds team is finished, so I've moved on to the next one: Sons of Velmorn. The test model, on which I checked how the tweaked Ulfenwatch color scheme works on the Grave Guard models, was Marshal Faulk Velmorn.

Choć zalegam jeszcze ze zdjęciem grupowym, underworldsowa ekipa Gnarlspirit Pack jest skończona, wziąłem się więc za następną: Sons of Velmorn. Modelem testowym, na którym sprawdzałem, jak na Grave Guardach sprawdza się podrasowany schemat kolorów Ulfenwatch, był Marshal Faulk Velmorn.

Cursed City Ulfenwatch

I've finished painting the Ulfenwatch (apart from the Captain). Below you'll find a group photo and a close-up picture presenting standard-bearer, champion and the furthest-going of minor conversions made.

Cursed City Ulfenwatch #8-10

Three swordsmen (including a champion) join Ulfenwatch spearmen. I've painted the champion a bit brighter to make him stand out from the crowd.

Domalowałem trzech żołnierzy formacji Ulfenwatch - w tym zamaskowanego czempiona. Żeby wyróżniał się na tle kolegów, dostał na ciuszki trochę więcej koloru :)

Cursed City Ulfenwatch Painting Tutorial

I was asked for a tutorial for painting out-of-grave Ulfenwatch skeletons and here it is.

Ludzie pytali na grupie Cursed City o przepis na ziemiste szkielety, więc przy okazji malowania pierwszego ludka z mieczem porobiłem zdjęcia. Starałem się też zestawić wszystko ładniej niż zazwyczaj.

Cursed City Ulfenwatch #5-7

After a break for painting the Crimson Court and Leshen I got back to the Cursed City miniatures. I've painted three more skeletons of Ulfenwatch. In effect, all spear-wielding ones are done. There are three more swordsmen and a captain to be painted.

Po przerwie na wampiry i leszego wracam do malowania ludków do Cursed City. Pomalowałem trzech kolejnych i mam w efekcie komplet szkieli z włóczniami (zostało 3 z mieczami i kościsty szef).

The Crimson Court

The Crimson Court is a coterie of merciless hunters united by their cruel appetites and lead by prince Duvalle. They found the way into Direchasm intent upon taking full advantage of the rich variety of prey promised by the living mountain's depths.

Each of these vampiric predators brings their own skills to the hunt:

Towering Gorath relies upon might as often as his own enchantments.

Vellas von Faine is a master duelist who wields her twin blades

with uncanny skill and speed.

The curse-twisted Ennias fights with a barbaric ferocity.

Duvalle's dominating will leaves his victims defenseless.
